Policy
Editorial policy
How we research, write, check and correct what appears on this site.
Who publishes here
Every article is written and approved by a named person on our editorial desk. Nothing is published automatically. An article carries a Reviewed by credit only when that person has actually read it end to end and checked its facts, links and framing — the credit is never applied by default or in bulk.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools for research assistance, outlining, drafting and mechanical checks such as spotting broken links or inconsistent figures. We do not publish machine-generated text as finished work. A human editor rewrites, verifies and takes responsibility for every published page. Where an article leans on tooling in a way a reader would want to know about, we say so on the page.
How we review a series
A review means we watched the series. We say how far we watched, and if we stopped early we say where and why. Where a page is built from publicly listed metadata rather than a full watch-through — a database entry, a release roundup — it is presented as data, not as a verdict.
How rankings are built
Every ranked list states its selection rule at the top: what was eligible, what was excluded and what the ordering is based on. A reader should be able to disagree with our conclusion and still reproduce our shortlist. Placement in a list is never for sale.
Pricing and database figures
We do not publish prices. This site is about finding something to watch, not costing it — cost lives on our sister site, which is built for it. That is a division of labour, not a statement that the numbers are untrustworthy: they are sourced and published there, with their provenance attached. Where a page needs a figure, it comes from our own collection of public YouTube data for official platform channels, and the method and its limits are printed next to the figure rather than buried at the bottom. When a method turns out to be wrong we say so on the page that used it — see the correction on thetrope explorer.
Database records carry the date they were last updated. Episode counts on ongoing series move, and we re-check them on a schedule rather than assuming they are static.
Community and viewer sentiment
Where we describe what viewers think, we summarise the general consensus in our own words. We do not scrape, paste or republish comment threads, and we do not reproduce individual posts or usernames.
Copyright and source material
We host no video. We link only to the platform that licenses a series — never to mirrors, re-uploads or aggregators. We do not reproduce official posters, stills or promotional synopses. Cover artwork on our series pages is generated abstractly from the title and is clearly labelled as such. Series titles and app names are used for identification and commentary only.
Independence and funding
We take no payment for reviews, rankings or placement, and advertisers have no input into editorial decisions. This site does not currently carry advertising; when it does, ads will be clearly labelled and visually separated from editorial content.Any commercial relationship that could reasonably affect how a reader reads an article is disclosed on that article.
Corrections
We correct errors rather than quietly deleting them. Substantive corrections are noted on the article with the date. Minor fixes — typos, formatting — are made without a note. Report anything wrong to [email protected] with the page URL.
Updates to this policy
This policy changes as the site grows. Material changes will be noted here with a date.
